Coatings on PlasticThere are various plastic materials used as substrates which need coatings, especially lenses with antireflection coatings. These coatings need to be environmentally resistant to allow a long life time of the optical components without peeling off of the coatings. These can be achieved in the SYRUSpro family of evaporation coating systems especially with the aid of the APSpro and LION 300 plasma sources. Important is the low temperature loading of the coatings and the environmental stability, obtained with the aid of our dedicated plasma sources. Even multiple layer coatings like IR–cut filters can be successfully performed on various plastic substrates. |
