| Follow-up order: A world-leading producer of lighting products has submitted an order for an additional DynaMet4V for their planned production increase of their silver coated reflectors. Their existing D4V has been running reliably for more than 7 years. Proven performance made the decision to expand with a second Leybold Optics system easy. The trend towards more and more advanced metallization applications beyond the traditional automotive sector remains unbroken.

OPTICS - January 2011 - VSP issues order for Syrus 1350

| US-based VSP Optics Group, part of VSP GlobalSM, a leading provider of a broad range of ophthalmic products and services, acquired their first Syrus 1350 vacuum coating system. The Syrus 1350 is the most productive eyeglass anti-reflection coater currently on the market. VSP Optics Group will employ it to extend their production capacity of prescription lenses.

OPTICS - January 2011 - Pioneers: Prats purchases 3rd Syrus with LION source

| Prats, the Barcelona-based leader in the Spanish ophthalmic market and long-term partner of Leybold Optics, issued the 3rd order for a Syrus III system with LION source technology. Therewith, high performance LION technology will now also be employed in the Madrid facility, thus further homogenizing production processes in Prats’ top quality prescription lens business. On repeated occasions, Prats and Leybold Optics have cooperated in the industrialization of new technologies. The proprietary LION technology is Leybold Optics’ latest development in the field of plasma sources, one of the key components for optical multilayer coatings. |
