One Solution for flexible and rigid substrates
The MAXI allows the combination of several different deposition tools on a single platform which is able to accommodate both 300-millimeter steel strips and planar rigid sheet material substrates up to a size of 500 by 500 millimeters. MAXI is the ideal system for combining physical vapor deposition sources like sputtering magnetron cathodes and electron beam sources for high-rate evaporation of metals and ceramics. The layout of MAXI consists of a lengthy arrangement of vacuum chambers between the unwinding and winding coil compartments thus allowing for excellent access to all deposition tools.
WEB -The modular web coater solution
Designed as mere production platforms, WEB type coaters are of a compact built to minimize the need for precious floor space. Depending on the application, WEB type coaters can look quite different. WEB 750sp, for example, is a machine for sputter coating of steel strips with an extremely touch sensitive coating side so that only the uncoated side of the strips can be used for transport purposes inside the machine. This restriction results in an unusual design having the winding/unwinding module sandwiched between the two coating modules.
